The gourmet me was awakened the year I turned 19. It was 1999 and I had spent an amazing 6 months in the gorgeous city of Sydney, learning the classical art of French cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu. I'd always enjoyed eating, growing up as a chubby little girl in Singapore. However, my tastebuds were asleep for most of my teenage years. 1999 marked the beginning of more than a decade of my crazed devotion to food and dining. These days, I live in New York City and I have a day job that is primarily intended to finance my culinary adventures. I don't churn out fancy gourmet meals all the time anymore. Instead, I love cooking rustic homey meals for my friends and family and in my spare time, only one thing is on my mind - where/what is my next meal?
those are sooo cute!
